With your very generous donation we are able to purchase, or help purchase, lots so that a church or civic group can build a house on that lot. We believe that homeownership is vital to a stable family environment.

Statistics show that more than fifty percent of Mexican families live in poverty. We'd be pleased to help every needy family that crosses our path, but the need is too great! But with your help, we can extend our and your love to more needy people. There are many ways that you can help this organization reach some of Mexico's poorest families. Here are just a few...

1. Become a monthly sponsor for one of our families... $25, $50, $100 per month.
2. Do you like garage sales? We do! We always need garage sale donations, or help with organizing and pricing for our garage sale fund raisers. Also, you could sponsor your own garage sale in your area for the benefit of GAL.
3. Buy a bolsa! Our signature fundraiser is the sale of purses made out of oilcloth, a plastic fabric typically used for tablecloths in Mexico. We also make tablecloths, bibs, luggage tags, coin purses, and placemats. Our seamstress is a single mother living in Jaluco, Jalisco, Mexico.
4. Make a donation! We accept cash, collectibles, jewelry, clothing, furniture, usable household items, and anything that can be sold at a garage sale, estate sale, or on e-bay.
5. Organize a fundraiser through your church, work, sorority/fraternity, or team. You choose the family you would like to help, or the lot purchase for which you wish to raise funds.
6. Find a retail store in your area to carry our oilcloth products or sponsor an oilcloth sale at a local farmer's market or fair.
